Shinba-Edaran is a joint-venture company between Shinba Technology (Brunei) and Edaran Komputer Sdn Bhd (Malaysia). The Company was incorporated in Brunei Darussalam under the Companies Act, Chapter 39 on 9 August 2006 .

The history of the Company began in early 2005 when Edaran Komputer Sdn Bhd started its business operations registered as a branch of a foreign company.  During this phase, the Company was soliciting business opportunities in the e-Government initiatives.  A year later, the Company was awarded its first major project – the Integrated Corruption Information System (i-COINS) by the Brunei Anti-Corruption Bureau.

i-COINS was fully developed in Brunei Darussalam utilizing a powerful Business Process Management (BPM) and Enterprise Content Management (ECM) systems powered by OpenText® Livelink™.  The system was also fully customized to provide users with maximum ease-of-use – designed to serve their exact business needs and operational processes – in a workflow-driven system.

 
Today, Shinba-Edaran has three operational divisions:

  Oil & Gas Division
